This sophisticated coloring book demonstrates perfectly how the pastimes created with children in mind can be fine-tuned for adults. Full of intricate artworks that will essentially turn anyone into an instant artist, the pages were created by Johanna Basford, an illustrator based in the United Kingdom. Inspired by Scotland’s Brodick Castle Gardens, the images focus on stunning floral designs.

As for why she decided to create such a sophisticated coloring book, she notes how "coloring seems to help people think about a time when life was simpler and more carefree." It will encourage adults to channel their creativity in a way that is often lost the older they get. Although this is a pastime that may only attract already imaginative individuals, perhaps it will reach another demographic to expand their artistic abilities.
