Even Manolo Blahnik, famous for his rigid five inch maximum, is conforming to the trend by introducing six-inch heels that already account for 30 percent of his business.

If the ever-increasing amount of tumbles taken on catwalks in Paris and Milan are any indication, sky-high heels may prove to be our riskiest foray into fashion. Just remember that practice makes perfect because even renowned heel hounds like Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker would need a practice run before they debuted these new mile-high heels.
