Shanghai designer Zhili Liu wanted to add a little style to the sea of Chinese furniture that considers only function in its design. Indeed, Shrub by Zhili Liu has a dash of style but still plenty of functionality.

An otherwise all white design is dotted with colored bolts which hold the legs in place to the underside of the table. Shrub by Zhili Liu is great minimalist furniture with a hint of personality.

Chinese manufacturing is usually famous for large quantity, low quality and very limited new material and technology. So for Chinese designers, creating low quantity products with high quality in both design and manufacturing has always been a tougher task than it is in most other places. (dezeen)
