Dimmers afford people a convenient way to adjust the brightness of a room, but with the Sensitive Lamp comes the suggestion that such adjustments should be more tactile, interactive and intuitive. Made from a thin and elongated folded sheet of anodized metal, the fixture radiates one's preferred level of illumination as a table lamp, a floor lamp, a wall or a ceiling lamp.
ENKO-creatio of Paris designed the piece which conceals rows of LED lights along its inner spine. The bulbs can be quite glaring at top power but the intensity can altered almost effortlessly with a gentle caress of the hand down the backbone. Instantly the room will become dimmer by the light of the Sensitive Lamp, which invites a more involved sensory experience.
