What chair? Oh! That thing UNDER the model. I kind of see it and now that you mention it, I think NOT seeing it is kinda the point. Designed back in the 1980s, this expanded nickel-plated steel mesh chair was recently made by German-based, Vitra. The chair goes for $9975 USD and even has a “mini me” version that sells for $450! 

Official authorized version by Shiro Kuramata, produced by Vitra germany. Enduring Icon of Modern Design. Designed by Shiro Kuramata in 1986, consists of nickel-plated expanded metal with clear finish. (nova68)
