Silent Circle recently announced the launch of a new phone that will feature secure apps and encrypted messaging. While consumers can download security software for their smartphones, Silent Circle has designed the world's first phone that is private by design.

The ultra-secure smartphone is called the 'Blackphone 2.' While the new mobile is the follow-up to the company's original Blackphone, it is far more sophisticated than its predecessor. The device features a faster processor, additional RAM and a larger HD display screen. The 'Blackphone 2' also runs on a an Android-based platform called PrivatOS. Unlike comparable products, the new smartphone boasts secure apps and encrypted messaging to help you stay in control of your private information.

For those who take their privacy seriously, this secure smartphone is now available for pre-order.
