These weird and creepy sculptures by Renee Adams look a little like disturbing aliens or sea-creatures and occasionally like alien-flowers. The artist uses natural and artificial materials (like wood, clay and leather) to create imaginary species.

The jellyfish drawings of German biologist Ernst Haeckel were used as inspiration in the creation of these strange sculptures by Renee Adams. The flesh-colored creations seem in some ways familiar; a reaction that is sure to make viewing these sculptures both a fascinating and uncomfortable experience.
