Sci-Fi fans are more than happy to integrate the fictional Star Wars and Star Trek elements in their real-life environments; for that very reason, Sci-Fi furniture has become a prevalent theme for geeky designers.
This latest masterpiece is the X-Wing coffee table that is currently being sold for $60,500. The artist Barry Shields carved it out in a total of six months. The work is suggested to have been priced at a 14$ per hour spent on the making of it. Currently a popular window shopping piece for intergalactic soldiers, it is a true dream item for all Star Wars fans.
Barry Shield’s modern and geeky furniture designs are all skillfully carved and contain a sophisticated attitude as well as a quirky one, clearly targeting the seemingly mature yet achieved geek-at-hearts.
