Sam’s Club has announced the final stages of its chainwide integration of ‘Inventory Scan’ automated robots, which aims to deliver almost 600 autonomous floor-scrubbing robots to Sam’s Club locations in the U.S. These robots possess the ability to collect product information, pricing, and availability data while they complete their cleaning tasks.
Grocery stores have recently concentrated on discovering technological solutions that can save staff members from tedious inventory management and offer more effective procedures for closely monitoring pricing and out-of-stocks. Sam’s Club joins this group of retailers, which includes names like Schnuck Markets, Hy-Vee, and more, who have implemented robot-focused business solutions in their retail models.
“These scrubbers help associates ensure products are out for sale, priced correctly and findable, ultimately making it easier to directly engage with our members,” said Todd Garner, vice president of in-club product management at Sam’s Club.
