Toronto-based designer Ryan McArthur enhances eloquently worded quotes through minimalist illustrations. His work is extremely conceptual, clean and helps the audience visualize the ideas that are communicated through these short pieces of literature.
My favorite illustration is of Rumi's quote, "You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop." Although this quote may be difficult for some to grasp immediately, McArthur illustrates it in such an intuitive manner that makes it become universally coherent. He illustrated the idea through the shape of a drop with waves on top of it.
His placement of the quotes on his canvas are spot on and the portfolio as a whole is a gem to look at.
