Ryan Gander's 'Make Every Show Like it's Your Last' focuses on a few different subjects, one of which is the author himself. Gander has made his latest exhibit partly about him, as well as the imagination in general.
DesignBoom aptly puts it: "focusing on two recent themes in gander’s practice, 'Imagineering' and the 'Culturefield,' the exhibition will bring together works previously unseen in the UK to highlight the artist’s playful wit as well as explore the relationships between author, work and viewer where the rules are constantly redefined." As such some of the pieces challenge viewers to ask what the message is behind the artwork, which is what artwork is all about.
The exhibition is currently on display in the UK at the Manchester Art Gallery, until September of 2014.
