Emerging label Ana Nevi has launched a new collection called ‘Roses of This Soil,’ which features Turkish quilting across vests, bucket hats, dresses, tote bags, collars, and keychains. The collection was created in partnership with several incarcerated individuals with whom designer Ana Nevi works. Many individuals who help craft Nevi’s pieces rely on crocheting as a source of income, and the designer hopes that the brand will one day expand to hire female and male imprisoned individuals to help them gain a steady income.
