Isreali designer and artist Ron Arad introduce his latest collection made in collaboration with ALPI, marking the fourth time that the duo is joining forces. The idea has been a part of Arad's thoughts for some time and now he brings it to life.
The idea is to reverse the design concept as he strips down three of his existing designs with the help of ALPI's reconstituted wood veneers, resulting in the 'If I Were a Carpenter' collection. Taking Arad's three original chairs -- the Boido, Thumbprint, and the Big Easy, it channels artful elements as well as design. Using bespoke types of wood, the chairs create a unique dimensional shape that experiments with structures and shadows to unveil the soul that is the root of the designs.
