Nature Gets Back at Humans in Ericailcane's Art Exhibit

‘Man is the Bastard’ is the title of Italian street artist Ericailcane’s first LA solo show at the Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art, which features the remarkable drawings above.

I love these drawings of animals taking revenge on humankind in various strange ways. Ericailcane’s distinct work has elements of social and political nature; its macabre yet humorous imagery often includes animals as his main subject. 

Ericailcane graduated from the Academy of Arts in Bologna and has exhibited his artworks including sculptures, paintings, videos, and installations across Europe. He is also known for his murals and graffiti.

The exhibition is on at the Carmichael Gallery from January 11th to January 28th, 2009.
