These retro prints by Jen Corace remind me of the fashion drawings of yore.
Many decades ago, before technology allowed for quick photography shots, fashion shows were covered by artists who would draw the looks and print them for the media.
While that was such a long time ago, Jen Coarace’s work is reminiscent of that era. I especially like that she has branched out into laptop, and iPhone covers.
Implications - In the last few years, contemporary society has seen a movement that seeks to revive many stylistic trends from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. One way a company can capitalize from this movement is by featuring products that are explicitly influenced by retro styles. By marketing the product as a way to capture a fad of the past and modernize it, the company will attract retro revivalists and other style-conscious consumers.
