With all the tributes to iconic paintings and famous artists, the series titled Remix by Qi Wei is probably one of the most creative and unexpected, at least for now it is. Hot on the heels of Qui Wei's last floral artworks, the Exploded Flowers series, this series recreates famous paintings using flower petals.

Partly inspired by the website Everything Is A Remix, the series Remix by Qi Wei explores the idea "that petals and individual components of flowers are literally individual brush-strokes of nature," as Wei himself discovered when creating his Exploded Flowers series. So far he has re-imagined iconic artworks such as The Great Wave off Kanagawa and Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflower painting. Stats for Iconic Floral Paintings Trending: Older & Chilly
