ZTE Nubia released its 'Red Magic 8 Pro' gaming phone, which it originally announced on December 26th, 2022. With the release of this phone, it is currently the most powerful mobile Android device available to general consumers, as it is the first phone to market with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile chipset. This is the most recent mainline chipset from Qualcomm, and the successor to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU.
Aside from its processor, the Red Magic 8 Pro is equipped with 512gb of fast onboard UFS 4.0 storage and 16gb of LPDDR5X RAM. For the display, ZTE Nubia used a 6.8-inch, 120Hz AMOLED panel running at a resolution of 2480 x 1116. The device is also one of the first to market equipped with Wi-Fi 7 technology, the successor to Wi-Fi 6e, and Bluetooth 5.3. This phone retails for $749 USD at MSRP and is powerful enough to play any game on the Android app store, as well as sideloaded applications, and even creative applications such as Android-based video editing.
