This inexpensive folding corrugated cardboard stool called “Flat Mate” will come in handy for those occasions. It sets up in mere seconds and can be folded flat for storage. There is even a carrying handle incorporated into the design.

The Flat Mate stool is light and yet can handle weights up to 90 kg. It was designed by Sonja Vrbovszky (Austria). Priced at just under 10 Euros, you could afford to buy a number of these and either stash them away or recycle them when they have outlived their usefulness.
