The Radiolaria Table by Nervous System is Organically Artsy

By: Meghan Young - Published: • References: n-e-r-v-o-u-s & psfk
The Radiolaria Table looks organic for a reason, it is modeled after cellular biology. Customizable by customers, the pieces were recently put on display at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) where visitors were able to design their very own Radiolaria Table and receive an accurate quote of how much it would cost to build it.

Designed by Nervous System, a design studio based in Somerville, Massachusetts, the Radiolaria Table is carved out of baltic birch plywood using a CNC router. The resulting patterned top can be sporadically covered in plexiglass depending on the customer's wishes.

Stunningly intricate and sculptural, the Radiolaria Table would be a great addition to both modern and traditional homes and offices. Stats for Customized Cellular-Inspired Furniture Trending: Older & Buzzing
