The Pupa pavilion is an impressive piece of recycled artwork created by Liam Hopkins. Hopkins was inspired by nature to create this pavilion, which consists solely of recycled cardboard and shipping pallets.
Shipping pallet and cardboard pavilions are nothing new, but they are rarely designed to be functional. The Pupa pavilion sits inside the offices of Bloomberg Philanthropy and functions as both an enclosed meeting space and a constant reminder of the importance of recycling. The pavilion gets its unique name from the stage of an insect going from its larva to adult form. The name is fitting, as the Pupa pavilion resembles a chrysalis.
The design is stunning, and would be fit for both insect and worker alike!
