SEGA launched 'Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+,' a new anime-themed rhythm game centered around the virtual popstar Hatsune Miku. Hatsune Miku is the first 'Vocaloid,' a project launched in 2000 to synthesize singing voices. The game challenges players to perform songs by tapping certain buttons at correct times that match up with the beats and notes in the song. While Hatsune Miku is one of the playable characters, there are also numerous other Vocaloids present in the game, each with unique voices and styles.
The base game includes a roster of more than 170 songs, while there is an additional purchasable song pack that unlocks 72 more songs. One noteworthy aspect of the game is its customization.
