Facebook Will Open Up Cafes in the UK to Offer a Privacy Check-Up

Facebook has begun to open privacy check-up cafes located in the United Kingdom. A total of five privacy check-up cafes will open by the end of August. The cafes will offer free drinks for anyone who particiaptes in a privacy checkup. The first cafe will be located in the Attendant coffee shop in London, beginning on August 28th. The remaining cafes will open between August 28th and September 5th.

The privacy-centric cafes were created in an effort fo the social media company to educate its users about its privacy settings and policy. A poll was conducted which indicated 27% of London users were now are of how to change their Facebook accounts privacy settings, to match their own privacy wishes.
