This political protest art is the work of Philip Toledano. The items in the collection reflect his disapproval and discontent with American foreign policy.

The first image in the gallery, called the Abu Ghraib Coffee Table, is a molded resin and Plexiglas display of a hooded human figure on all fours being objectified as a table. The second item in the gallery is the Inflatable Guantanamo Bay Bouncy Prison and the third is a crystal ball called the Cheney Shredding Secret Documents. The last item in the gallery is self explanatory.

The installation is called America The Gift Shop.

If America had a foreign policy gift shop, what would it sell? America the Gift Shop is an installation project that reflects the current foreign policy in the fun-house mirror of American commerce. (americathegiftshop)
