Poi dancing originated in New Zealand as a traditional Maori dance but it has inspired a fire dancing craze the world over. It’s absolutely beautiful and it’s a great work out too. Along with Poi fire dancing comes spinning and staffing - it’s all incredible and beautiful and definitely a lot of fun.  Sonya started fire dancing after she saw first-hand how beautiful it could be. A couple of years later, she's realized that poi isn't just about making fire pretty. It's also a fun, effective way to work out.
'Poi' are a traditional Maori dance prop from New Zealand and has given rise to a contemporary style of spinning popular all over the world. Poi and Staff spinners and fire jugglers are now common across the globe with more people starting everyday and the art being advanced quicker than ever before.
