Sony is Releasing a Discord Integrated Service for PlayStation 5

Sony is releasing new PlayStation 5 Discord functionality in collaboration with the popular voice chat application. While PlayStation features its own integrated voice chat and group calling system, it is not as easy to navigate or as full of features as Discord is. Discord allows for hundreds of members to organize a server with dedicated text chat and voice chat channels, each with a different topic and an infinitely preserved backlog of conversation. This allows for guilds, friend groups, and communities to store large amounts of information over time.
Until now, Discord has only been available on PC and in a limited sense on Xbox devices. However, on Playstation, users can simply connect their Discord account to display their in-game activity to Discord on another device. This will soon change as the platform has teased a larger-scale chat client for the game console.
