The Platinum Love Magazine “Obsession” Editorial is Rough and Edg

For their “Fetish Issue,” the people over at Platinum Love Magazine -- or more accurately, the artistic director of Platinum Love Magazine, Hutch -- created an editorial titled “The Obsession Editorial,” which features slight S&M undertones.

“The Obsession Editorial” shows models Davide and Dyan in a myriad black and white photos while attired in kink wear, both fitting and appropriate for the magazine's “Fetish Issue.”

Implications - Consumers are pelted with a plethora of advertisements daily, and become desensitized to typical marketing strategies. Advertisements which use shocking imagery or unusual tactics are more likely to be memorable to consumers, and stand out against their competitors. Companies can utilize methods of shock factor advertising to catch the eye of potential customers.
