When it comes to furniture, Dean Brown, an industrial designer based in Italy, injects a dose of creativity that results in creations like Plate Life. Part light fixture, part objet d’art, Plate Light is a working lamp that happens to look more experimental than practical. Nevertheless, there is nothing but its looks to dispute the latter. Inspired by a photographic umbrella and a household dish rack, Plate Life is a mishmash design that is incredibly intriguing.

As described by the designer, Plate Life is made up of "two ceramic bowls and a light-source in a state of interdependency--the larger silvered plate directing the light source back upon itself." The result is luminous, both figuratively and literally. It will also give living spaces a raw touch of modernism. Stats for Eccentrically Artistic Lighting Trending: Older & Average
