It may seem a bit silly that the Placebo Pharmacy by KLab Architecture visually flaunts its punctured Braille facade to everyone but those who could actually read it, but the exquisite skin of this building certainly contributes to the project's aesthetic.
Located in Athens, Greece, this cylindrical two-storey structure is a renovated version of the original octagonal mass within, offering a brand new interpretation of an edifice designed to serve the public. Welcoming all walks of life, the building incorporates a lengthy curving ramp which gives people in wheelchairs easy access to the upper floor.
The perforated script on the envelope speaks to an acknowledgement of those with disabilities as well, but it provides a fascinating architectural effect with the way light enters the Placebo Pharmacy by KLab in the daytime and exits after dark.
