'Encore! Reclaim the Sound' Event Transforms Piano Parts into Art

The Arts Council of Williamson County and the Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville are collaborating to transform old piano parts into art for their 'Encore! Reclaim the Sound' event. Samick Music Corp. donated a variety of piano parts for artists to work with including piano keys, foot pedals, tuning pins, key rails, benches and grand piano lids. The project will raise funds for the council’s arts education program and the Steinway Society of Nashville.

Piano parts will be distributed to artists on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no guarantee that artists will receive all the pieces needed to complete their vision, which provides additional challenges. Artists can receive, however, a booklet of detailed drawings of different piano parts to help shape their vision. Stats for Piano Part Art Trending: Older & Mild
