Sending emojis with your messages can be fun but the smiley faces often lack originality and can become tiresome very quickly. For those who would like to add a unique experience to the picture characters that they send, the personalized emoji app Memoji Keyboard lets users replace Apple's emojis with animated ones of themselves.

Former Apple engineer, Johnny Lin, is the creator of this personalized emoji app that enables users to send animated GIFs of themselves, as well as the classic emojis.

The Memoji Keyboard is available in the app store for free and will allow you to generate up to five "memojis" using your own face. To create more GIFs, users will have to pay $0.99 to unlock the rest of the memoji options. However, if you are not up to spending a buck, you can alter your five free ones whenever you want.
