Pelican launched a unique electric bicycle for the cargo bike market titled the 'PelicanTrain.' This cargo bike boasts the highest towing capacity on the market, as it is capable of hauling two trailers in tow with a combined maximum capacity of 1,100lbs. When not towing any trailers, the bike can only haul roughly 220lbs, with each trailer contributing a maximum weight of 440lbs. However, it can only tow two trailers, as it does not have enough power to drive three. The combination of the bike and two trailers gives the bike its PelicanTrain name.
The bike has an industrial design with yellow bars and black accents, such as the handlebars, wheels, pedals, battery, and trailer surface. There is some customization, though, as the bike is also available in a red colorway. The PelicanTrain itself retails for $4,900 to buy it, or it can be rented daily or monthly for short-term jobs.
