Riding the current false eyelash trend, paper design firm Paperself has launched an exquisite range of false paper eyelashes that feature the Chinese art of paper cutting, thereby adding to the current collection of great lashes for the masses.

Each set of false paper eyelashes represents traditional Chinese symbols of love (peach blossoms), success (horses) and happiness (peonies), and applies easily with regular eyelash glue. Paper never looked so good.

Implications - Consumers are constantly looking for methods to differentiate themselves from others. They wish to satiate their desire for individuality. Corporations can satisfy this consumer desire by releasing idiosyncratic items which appeal more so to niche markets rather than the general population.
