If you get the fashion color right for your wardrobe you are golden. Pantone is the recognized authority on predicting which colors are hot. The Pantone Spring 2008 Fashion Color Report has just been released. They say fashion colors will be "stabilizing neutrals combined with pops" of brighter colors to generate excitement.

Some of the colors, followed by Pantone number in brackets, include Golden Olive (16-0639), Spring Crocus (17-3020), Rococo Red (18-1652), Pink Mist (13-2805), Croissant (16-0924), Freesia (14-0852), Cantaloupe (15-1239), Daiquiri Green (12-0435), Snorkel Blue (19-4049) and Silver Gray (14-0000)

Wondering what on earth a Pantone color is?

"The company is best known for its Pantone Matching System (PMS), a proprietary color space used in a variety of industries, primarily printing, though sometimes in the manufacture of colored paint, fabric and plastics," Wikipedia explains.

"The Pantone system is based on a specific mix of pigments to create new colors—referred to as spot colors. The Pantone system also allows for many 'special' colors to be produced such as metallics and fluorescents." Stats for Hot Fashion Hues Trending: Older & Warm
