In case you hadn’t noticed it splayed across magazine stands, suspenders are a totally hot fashion item. They’re no longer reserved for geeks, little boys or those few rare men who wear them under a tux. They’re a hip new fashion accessory for women.

This month’s edition of Elle feature Victoria Beckham in a pair and Keira Knightley did a shoot for the cover of interview wearing little but black suspenders, black gloves and white pants. Celebrities spotted wearing them in public include Fergie, Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton.
