This collection of outdoor cat photos proves that our feline friends do much more than sleep 20 hours of the day. Japanese photographer Seiji Mamiya shoots his feline subjects prancing around in beautiful scenes of sunlight. The pictures are extremely expressive of each cat's personality -- it's something I haven't seen captured ever before.

As they interact with nature and one another, they leap mid-air, bask in the warm sun and run around in the fields. Seiji captions many of these photos to coincide with what he believes the cats are thinking; for example, an image of a cat leaping in the air with his front paws up over it's head is captioned "FREEEDOM."

These images became so popular that the photographer has even published a book of them. Stats for Frolicking Outdoor Feline Photography Trending: Older & Warm
