The sole purpose of a light fixture need not be to simply illuminate surrounding objects so that your gaze may effectively analyze them. The O.T.Tosa Lamp becomes a focal point all of its own, contributing greatly to the design of the room in which it stands.
Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag and Heike Buchfelder conceived the flamboyant floor lamp for production by Pluma Cubic. The pair obtained several birds' worth of goose feathers by hand and dyed them vivid red and luscious orange. The unconventional lampshade material was assembled into great soft balls that surround the lightbulbs. A warm glow finds its way out from within the O.T.Tosa Lamp, shining down from a whimsical height atop a curved wiry stand.
