We’ve covered Tree shaping before at Trend Hunter, but the piece we featured is just the tip of the iceberg in this category. Tree shaping is the little-known art of growing trees and shaping their branches in designs and silhouettes that were not intended by Mother Nature. The practice is really an amalgam of art and gardening. Tree shaping is, according to Wikipedia, “a art and technique of growing and shaping trunks, branches and roots of trees and other woody plants.” Among the different basic shaped trees, we can see plenty of pretzels, living furniture, and a number of nondescript but very artistic designs. My favorite among these amazing trees, is the group of trees with the green top which are fashioned in the form of a group of houses.  There are various Tree-shaping practitioners across the world, most of their sites and bio’s can be found here on Treeshapers.net. I admire their dedication and commitment to a greener lifestyle.
