I predict that just about anything will be put into a vending machine within the next 10 years. This literature vending machine just goes to show it. Just when you realize you’re about to take a 5 hour train or plane ride without anything to do, there it is, a book vending machine. How convenient! My only issue is, how can you read the back cover? Maybe they should have a touch screen that gives excerpts of the books, or a scrolling marque on top? All in all, an interesting idea.  The New York Times says "Is it too much to ask to put stylish book vending machines, like the one at right, in the city’s subway and train stations?
I might argue for a somewhat broader range of titles. (Who knew Nora Roberts was so popular in Spain? And are those Victoria Holt novels?)
