EV Owner Not Permitted to Recharge His Car at Work

The problem of electric car owners not permitted to recharge their vehicles at work is a growing one. Physical infrastructure is an issue and so is procedural infrastructure. Mark Bush's car is powered by an electric engine that runs on batteries, but he is not permitted to recharge it at work, even if he pays for the electricity.

Bush works as a nurse at a California county jail. He’d like to drive his electric car to work. Though California is pushing to go green, there is no process in place for Bush to reimburse the county for electricity. He is not permitted to recharge there.
