Mickey Mouse is going night clubbing. To build on Disney World as an adult destination, Disney will launch the Night Kingdom in October 2011. It's a niche park because it's only open from 4 pm to midnight and only 2000 people will be allowed.
But, get this: the staffing will be two to one; for every guest, there will be two "cast members." Sound like an ultra deluxe version.
Implications - Many consumers are feeling pressured with the constraints of work and family, so products that offer elements of escapism with these individuals will see large returns. Companies would benefit from designing commodities that are reminiscent of childhood to attract this growing consumer base. Businesses will then have a leading edge over other competitors.
