Nicky Assmann’s ‘Solace’ is a beautiful artistic piece created out of soap bubbles. A thin layer of soapy water is lifted by a metal rod that creates the canvas sheet. The most astounding thing about this piece is that the colors are formed by the lighting and reflections of its surroundings, not through any tinting or dyes. Gravity and light are the key components in creating these tie-dye masterpieces.

Solace is set to be displayed in Pittsburgh on July 13, 2012 at the Wood Street Galleries. For those of you who can’t make it down there, the video demonstrates how the process is derived; it’s amazing what a bit of water and soap can create when you throw a pinch of imagination into the mix.

Nicky Assman’s piece brings a refreshing element to illusionary artistry.  Stats for Swirling Soap Bubble Installations Trending: Older & Mild
