The Muffin Collection by Krzysztof Kubasek Comprises Cup-Encased Chairs

Chairs do more than provide ergonomic perches ideal for a repose, as they can also offer a bit of a comfy confine to embrace the sitter’s body. The Muffin collection by Krzysztof Kubasek consists of a loveseat and a single lounger which compositionally emphasize this encompassing feature.

The pieces are framed within rounded rectangular shells that break at the back and front to allow for the extension of the legs and the incorporation of a backrest. Sitting atop a pair of supporting rails, the abstract envelope seems to reference the sculpting and supporting system of a muffin cup within a baking tray.
