The whirlwind surrounding Chris Brown and Rihanna has incited a number of rumors and ill will, but it’s also brought to light a controversial subject that doesn’t often get discussed. On Friday, MTV hosted a forum of New York City teens and young adults for a special that will air on Monday evening. For “Chris Brown and Rihanna: Love in Trouble,” the attendees discussed not only Chris Brown and Rihanna, but the topic of abuse in their own relationships and those of their close family members. Check out a short clip from MTV’s “Chris Brown and Rihanna: Love in Trouble” above, and be sure to tune in on Monday to watch the whole thing.  A number of audience members were dismayed that the seemingly happy couple could even come to blows. Some, like Melissa Bucano, 20, a college student at the Academy of Art — who said that, as a child, she witnessed her father turning violent against her mother — talked about the lingering trust issues following a domestic assault.
