Capcom announced more details for its upcoming expansion to 'Monster Hunter Rise (MH:R)' titled 'Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.' Sunbreak is the first title update to MH:R, bringing a number of new environments to explore, monsters to hunt, items to collect, and quests to complete.
For returning monsters, Capcom revealed a new trailer that features the 'Furious Rajang' and 'Seething Bezelgeuse,' which were previously seen in Monster Hunter: World. Aside from this, Sunbreak will also introduce all-new monster types to the series, such as the 'Shagaru Magala' and the 'Scorned Magnamalo.' Sunbreak will release on June 30th, 2022, as a paid content expansion on all platforms including Nintendo Switch and Steam.
In addition to this paid expansion, Capcom is updating MH:R on June 29th with a number of free pieces of content including weapon and armor trees, as well as new side quests.
