Travel brand Monos presents a new range of luggage that is inspired by a Japanese concept known as 'Mono no aware.' It captures a mournful feeling that can arise around the nature of certain moments, which is perfectly descriptive of traveling itself, when travelers leave their homes to find another place to 'live' but are always tied to the realization that they will return eventually.
The Canadian brand serves up simplistic designs with a melancholy theme behind them, supported by a cupcake-inspired color palette for a playful look. It is made in collaboration with Magnolia Bakery based in New York City. It also has limited edition Terrazzo designs that have finishes such as 'Terracotta, Sage Green, glossy Purple Icing and Banana Pudding.'
