The Mint 400 might be a time-honored competition, but it is also an event that highlights some amazing off-roading innovations. In a way, it can be likened to Formula 1 races in which the manufacturers' cars are put on display more so than the drivers themselves. Also known as The Great American Off-Road Race, The Mint 400 has seen such exciting develops as LED lighting.
It would surprise many people to learn that prior to the experiments conducted for the most recent Mint 400 race, proper lighting and visibility had always been a problem. Cool Hunting reports, "Although LED lights are becoming more common on the road in OEM (original equipment manufacturer) consumer vehicles, OEMs still have a long way to go to catch up to companies like Rigid, whose race-tested technology is available to consumers of all motorized vehicles."
