'Lantern' is a mental health online platform that aims to help people going through stress, anxiety or body issues by providing licensed therapists to chat with through instant messages.

Users get a one-week free trial followed by a monthly subscription that costs much less than standard therapy sessions. By teaching techniques like mindful walking, deep breathing and managing emotions, the platform is able to give people the tools they need to deal with their daily issues. The mental health online site focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques that look at the connections between relationships, thoughts and feelings.

Lantern hopes to stretch its programs to depression and other mood disorders eventually, especially in partnership with schools and employers to enhance societal awareness and address these common mental health issues.
