Menswear-inspired fashion for women demonstrates that this has been an epic year for women in positions of power and their fashion choices have been no exception to this rule. From questions about Sarah Palin’s $150K wardrobe to Hillary’s notorious pantsuits, women’s fashion has taken on a new meaning. It seems that some designers, including Paul Som, are translating that meaning literally. The latest trend to hit the runways this season is raiding your boyfriend’s closet, both literally and figuratively. Designers are churning out structured suits, classic pieces like the fedora and elegant tuxedos, recreating these masculine staples into chic fashion for chicks!  We're not sure if it's a tribute to the late Yves Saint Laurent, who first made sexy tuxedos for women or a nod to the glass ceiling shattering Clinton campaign, but this season is all about menswear for ladies. For his debut collection at Bill Blass, Peter Som updated the late designer's signature mix of masculine fabrics and feminine shapes
