Gabriele Galimberti's 'Delicatessen with Love' series saw the Italian photographer eating home-cooked meals from "grandma" -- all over the globe. Though the project originally began in 2012, Galimberti has since added even more photographs.
Grandma's cooking is warm, it's delicious and above all else, it's comforting. Served with a hearty dose of nostalgia, grandma's signature dish will no doubt remind you of your family and childhood. The project invites grandmothers to share these dishes. Each subject is shot in a before-and-after sequence, with the "before" shot capturing the grandma surrounded by the raw ingredients necessary to make the meal, and the "after" shot being an image of the final dish.
This series celebrates different cultures and their distinct cuisines, yes, but it's also a celebration of family.
