Disney launches its new Magical Companion during CES 2023 this week and it is a digital voice assistant that recalls familiar characters. This includes voices from Star Wars, Pixar, Disney, and more. They alert users with different notifications including set timers, the weather, and alarms.
In addition to this, it creates a personal and gamified approach with a range of games and stories that are true to Disney. Additionally, it adds a surprising element as users do not know which character will be answering their voice prompts. It is initiated with 'Hey Disney!" and was built with the foundation of Alexa Custom Assistant voice AI as the bae. It is currently installed in limited hotel rooms in the Polynesian Village Resort.
